Following the young male and female whales, the peak of the migration begins some 20-23 days later. This third group include the mature males and resting females. Resting females are females who are neither pregnant nor nursing mothers.

LEFT: Bonnie & Clyde are a typical young adult male and female pair. Very likely they are sexually mature and while around the Expedition vessel in 1994 they interacted with each other in slow, graceful movements with great intimacy, as if dancing for us.
